Quick note about Easy Access Screen: As with any outdoor steel product, periodic maintenance may be required
to return painted steel surfaces to original appearance. Follow manufacturer's instructions and keep screen covered when not in use. Remove any rust with sandpaper or steel brush and repaint with grill paint suitable for high-temperature surfaces.
The fire bowl is cleaned with a solvent prior to packaging but no chemicals are used in the base metal, so cooking over this copper fire pit is completely safe. To make absolutely certain that all residual solvent is gone, you should burn a normal fire in the pit. After this first fire, the pit is primed and ready for cooking.
